Based in Athens, Greece, the Ambelos Cultural Center is a non-profit corporation run by its principal founder, journalist and art historian George Mylonas, together with a dynamic group of directors who share and promote the Center's core values.

The ACC advocates for the common European culture. It sustains every national identity by kindling in its core the unity and uniqueness of the European self-consciousness. We call European the person whose cultural horizons have been inscribed, through the centuries, with the Greek paideia, the Roman rule of law, Christianity, the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, the secularism and the bond between individual freedom and social justice.

The Center cannot take up the duty of the salvation of European culture. But as all of our friends and collaborators know quite well, if Europe is left to dismiss its unique culture, it will become nothing short of a hill of dust.
